SHAIBAH BLUES

Sure a little bit of mutty fell

From out of the sky one day,

And it nestled in the ocean

In a spot not far away,

And when the Air Force saw it,

Sure it looked so bleak and bare,

They said ‘That’s what we’re looking for,

We’ll send our Air Force there’.

So they sent our river gunboats,

Armoured cars and SHQ,

And they sent the Famous Eight-Four

Into that f…..g blue.

But pichi I’ll be going

To a land that’s far remote,

And until then you’ll here me say

‘Roll on that f…..g Boat’

I’ve got those Shaibah Blues, Shaibah Blues,

I’m fed up and I’m brassed off, and I’m browned.

I’ve been living here for close upon three year

And I wish I was in my coffin underground.

I tried to learn the lingo, but it fairly got my goat,

The only words that I know are, ‘Roll on that f…..g boat’

I’ve got those Shaibah Blues, Shaibah Blues,

I’m fed up and I’m brassed off and I’m browned of too
